A short flight away...

With daily, cheap flights from Findel, Luxembourg to London City it is hard not to travel! And with a London based daughter with a bit of extra space,

 I visit this city more often than my wallet find it healthy:-)

So last week I went for 3 days and had a great time as always.

Oase in the city

I am back home after a few days in London.

Had plenty of time to look around in the neighborhood where my daughter currently lives, East London. After a nice lunch at the Crown I took the path by one of the canals and found this wonderful outdoor space.

 Who could believe this is in the middle of the urban city?

LOVE IT!!!!!

London here I come!

I am taking a short trip to London to see my girl. 

The combination of short flights and cheap tickets suits me well:-)

Have a few plans for the next days, and hopefully I will make a nice 

post on my blog when I'm back.

I am home again after 5 days in lovely London. 

I visited my daughter and celebrated her birthday.

We had so much fun and a had a packed program.

We walked the streets, went to Tate, saw a musical, shopped at Brick Lane and had great food and drinks....

My husband came over on Friday and all 3 of us had a enjoyable weekend.

Eclectic!

 I'm home again after a few fabulous days in London.

 Cold, wet and windy but still fab. Love this city more and more. 

And of course a big plus is to meet up with my daughter.

One of the great things we did was lunching at this fantastic place,

 perfect situated close to Brick Lane.

Expensive, yes, but ooh so tasty.

London East End

I miss London but I miss my daughter more.

She will come to Luxembourg in a few days so this post is about my next, future trip to London. (Important to start planning early!)

Many people frown their nose when they hear East End. But after being in London 3 times the past weeks and staying at the East End (where my daughter's UNI is) I must say that I like the area. Not streamline and luxurious as on the opposite side of London, but quirky and funny with a lot of strange boutiques, vintage stores and cafes.
My plan for my next trip is:

 I will stay at 
Hotel 40 winks 

eat lunch at 

les trois garcons

and have drinks at

This post is more a reminder to myself,

 but feel free to go on a journey....

Colourful Camden

Had a great time with my daughter in London a few days ago.

We went to Camden and its market where we did some vintage shopping.

Other things we did:

see a Christmas decorated Covent Garden

drank mulled wine

had a Italian inspired lunch

strolling Regent and Oxford street

5 o'clock tea 

shopping

see Stomp

fancy dinner

LOVE LONDON MORE AND MORE!

London calling

The car is fully loaded and topped up with a home baked apple cake.

Hope daughter and her flatmates will appreciate our little visit.

We look for sure forward to a London break.

It is daughters last day in Luxembourg.

 She is now ready to start a student life in London!
