We held a surprise baby shower for our Norwegian friend yesterday. Nice to experience a tradition that I only know from american movies.......

Display on tray
I just love trays. I use them all the time, and I have a bunch of them! In every shape, colour and material. I use them the traditional way as serving trays, but also as a place to collect things, display on tray.....
I change the items or collection quite often, and this time I displayed some souvenirs. Like a wooden turtle from Hawaii, a beetle from Egypt and huge cones from the Canary Islands. And candles, always candles.....
Nice weekend to you all.

Sewing kit
The other day I had to blow of some dust from my sewing kit (promise you it nearly never see daylight). It is not actually a sewing kit, but an old Danish lunchbox with a cute poem ! My grandmother found it on a market years ago when I was a child and gave it to me. To be honest I did not fell in love with it at once, but now after 30 years + I adore it!

Liichtmëss/Candlemas/Chandeleur
The tradition in Luxembourg says that today children goes from house to house and sing a song about the festival of lights, and thanks people that will offer them some sweets. I had to many children at my door so I am out of sweets now (hopefully they're thinking of getting to bed soon), but I am happy that I've got the chance to see so many fantastic lamps that the children have made (or purchased)
-32 C
Posio, Finland
This is the coldest temperature I've ever experienced. That happened a few years ago when I worked for a Finnish company and visited their HQ based in northern Finland.
As long as the air is dry and sun is shining it is OK (but be careful if you sneeze, that's uncomfortable ;-))
So I should not complain about the -6 C we have in Luxembourg today.....

New found
My friend and me went to the brocante again today. I was lucky to find this green bowl from V&B which fits perfectly together with the pitcher I purchased months ago. Perhaps I should start to collect?
Love the colour, shape and glaze...
